St Peter’s Bundoora

Anglican Church

The first recorded meeting of the parish was held on the 27^th of June 1962.

Two days before St Peter’s Day.

 

The first service was held in the Bundoora Hall on August 19^th 1962.

 

On the 16^th of December 1967 the corner stone for the Hall/Chapel building was laid. (PIC 1)

 

St Peter’s Day (June 29^th) 1968 saw the opening and dedication of the completed building. (PIC 2)

 

The Vicarage was built in 1971.

 

An extension to create a church adjacent to the Hall was completed and dedicated on the 26^th of June 1983. (PIC 3)

 

Further extensions to the church to include a lady chapel, new kitchen, toilets, meeting room and parish offices were completed and dedicated in 1998.
